The residual chlorine online sensor is an online constant-voltage type sensor. It features a built-in flow stabilization cell that effectively eliminates the impact of flow rate on sensor performance. Equipped with integrated temperature and pH sensors, it supports automatic compensation for water temperature and pH. The sensor adopts an RS485 interface and standard Modbus protocol for easy integration.
A constant potential is applied between the measuring and reference electrodes to form a micro-current measurement system consisting of two platinum electrodes (working and counter electrodes) and a reference electrode. Hypochlorous acid undergoes redox reactions on the surface of the working electrode, generating a current signal. The residual chlorine concentration is calculated based on the relationship between current intensity and chlorine concentration. Meanwhile, the system measures the water temperature and pH, and performs signal compensation to obtain an accurate residual chlorine concentration in the water.
